Product Overview
The iiyama G-MASTER Black Hawk G2530HSU-B1 is a 24.5-inch Full HD gaming monitor designed for casual gaming, everyday computing, entertainment, and home use. Combining a 1920 × 1080 resolution, a 75Hz refresh rate, a fast response time, and AMD FreeSync support, this monitor provides a responsive visual experience for gamers who want smooth gameplay without investing in a high-end gaming display.
The monitor uses a TN panel with LED backlighting to deliver clear images and fast pixel transitions. Its Full HD resolution is suitable for popular PC games, web browsing, streaming videos, and office applications. The 75Hz refresh rate provides smoother motion than a standard 60Hz display, while its low response time helps reduce visible ghosting during fast-moving scenes.
The G2530HSU-B1 also features built-in stereo speakers, a USB hub, and multiple video connections. Its practical design makes it suitable for users who need a monitor for gaming and general computer use.
Why Is the iiyama G-MASTER Black Hawk G2530HSU-B1 a Good Monitor?
The iiyama G-MASTER Black Hawk G2530HSU-B1 is a good monitor for users who want an affordable Full HD gaming display with responsive performance and useful everyday features. Its 75Hz refresh rate offers smoother screen movement than traditional 60Hz monitors, while its fast 1ms response time helps minimise motion blur in supported operating conditions.
AMD FreeSync technology helps synchronise the monitor’s refresh rate with a compatible graphics card, reducing screen tearing and stuttering when supported within the applicable refresh-rate range. This can make gameplay more consistent in compatible games.
The monitor also includes iiyama’s gaming-oriented display settings, such as preconfigured game modes, along with connectivity options for computers and peripherals. With its combination of gaming features, Full HD resolution, and built-in speakers, it is a practical choice for entry-level and casual gaming setups.
Key Features of the iiyama G-MASTER Black Hawk G2530HSU-B1
1. 24.5-Inch Full HD Display
The monitor features a 24.5-inch screen with a native resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. This Full HD resolution provides clear images and detailed visuals for gaming, videos, browsing, and everyday applications.
Its 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio is compatible with most modern PC games and video content. The screen size also offers a useful balance between viewing area and desk space, making it suitable for bedrooms, home offices, and compact gaming stations.
2. 75Hz Refresh Rate for Smoother Gameplay
The G2530HSU-B1 supports a refresh rate of up to 75Hz, allowing it to display more frames per second than a standard 60Hz monitor. This can make cursor movement, scrolling, and supported games feel smoother.
While 75Hz is not as fast as modern 144Hz or 165Hz gaming displays, it provides a useful improvement for casual gamers who play strategy games, adventure titles, sports games, and other everyday PC games.
3. Fast 1ms Response Time
The monitor offers a 1ms response time specification, helping pixels transition quickly between shades and reducing visible motion blur in fast-moving scenes.
This feature is particularly useful in action games and other content where rapid movement is common. Actual motion clarity depends on the panel’s operating mode, refresh rate, and the settings used.
4. AMD FreeSync Technology
AMD FreeSync synchronises the monitor’s refresh rate with a compatible graphics card to help reduce screen tearing and stuttering. This can improve visual consistency when frame rates fluctuate during gameplay.
The feature is most useful when the graphics card, connection, driver, and game support the appropriate adaptive-sync functionality.
5. Gaming Modes and Display Settings
The G-MASTER Black Hawk range is designed with gaming in mind. Its gaming-focused display settings allow users to adjust the picture to suit different game genres and viewing preferences.
These options can help users customise brightness, contrast, and other image characteristics according to their environment. Selecting suitable settings can improve visibility in darker game scenes, although results depend on the game and display configuration.
6. Multiple Connectivity Options
The monitor includes a selection of video and peripheral connections for a practical desktop setup.
- HDMI: For compatible desktop computers, laptops, and other video sources.
- DisplayPort: For compatible computers and graphics cards.
- USB hub: For connecting supported USB peripherals through the monitor.
- Headphone connection: For private listening when supported by the connected setup.
The USB hub is useful for users who want to connect compatible accessories without reaching around the computer case. Check the exact port layout before purchasing.
7. Built-In Stereo Speakers
The integrated stereo speakers provide basic audio for gaming, online videos, system notifications, and everyday computer use. They can help keep a desk setup simple by reducing the need for separate speakers.
For stronger bass, clearer music playback, or a more immersive gaming experience, external speakers or a gaming headset may be preferable.
